The actress also shot five other projects between "Twilight," including "Up in the Air". Because of her performance in the role of George Clooney, the film won an Oscar. She has been part of a variety of commercially and critically acclaimed projects since the time of her debut, such as "Scott Pilgrim Vs. America". Anna Cook Kendrick was born in Portland, Maine on the 9th August , 1985. Her mother worked as an accountant, and her father was a history teacher. Anna was raised by her brother Michael who was an actor who later went on to become an actor. Anna Kendrick began auditioning for Broadway productions in her teens at Deering High School in Portland. When she was only 12 and her first major stage role was High Society. Despite the fact that she was just 12 years old, her performance was recognized with numerous awards. In 2003, she was an actress on a part-time basis in A Little Night Music. At the age of 15, she made her debut in film at Camp the same year. Kendrick was nominated for her performance as well as for Rocket Science 2007, which she appeared in at the age of 15.
