She also appeared in her first directorial film Whip It. She was awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe Award for her part in Grey Gardens. She was the main character in Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet. She is currently hosting The Drew Barrymore Show, a syndicated talk-show.
