Anamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress. Her screen debut was with Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film in which she won the British Academy Television Award as the best actress. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her father is the theatre professor at one of Romania's top drama schools. In the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors in 2000, she took home the Best Female Actor Award 2000. She was chosen as the first European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008.
