Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, has been known for her roles in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in theater, film and television. Her acting journey began with theater, and was later featured in a number of shows on television as well as independent and mainstream films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received critical acclaim but also numerous awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. She began her career acting in 1995 when she played Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. The actress has appeared as a character on Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to her film career, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. The role she played as a character in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
