Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and performer who started her career through smart raps that addressed gender and ethnic identities from a the most comical of perspectives. She then expanded to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came via the trumpet. Later, she began traditional and hip-hop training. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. Then, she even had some time learning Mandarin at the University of Beijing. The focus on music until the time she graduated. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet eventually landing on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also included viral hits such as the body positive Queef or the winking city tour New York Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in the year 2015, and was an additional initiative. Her resume contained both an the musician and author. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. As well as early shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed an array of noteworthy performances, which included Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
